Calling all dog lovers! The most adorable competition of the year is here—Pooch Playoffs 2025! This annual bracket-style photo contest is on the hunt for Southwest Michigan’s Ulti-Mutt Cutie, where local pups compete for the ultimate title.


What is Pooch Playoffs?

Pooch Playoffs is a fun and engaging contest where dogs from across Southwest Michigan go head-to-head in a series of photo matchups. Each round, the community votes for their favorite pup until one furry contestant is crowned the Ulti-Mutt Cutie!


How It Works

  • Submit Your Pup – Enter your dog in the tournament by visiting Main Focus Studios.
  • Vote for Your Favorites – Community members can cast votes in each round to determine which pups advance.
  • Bracket-Style Competition – Just like your favorite sports playoffs, dogs will face off in matchups until one champion remains!
  • Crowning the Champion – The final round will determine who earns the title of Southwest Michigan’s Ulti-Mutt Cutie!


Special Photo Sessions

Professional pet photographer Shawna Dobbs from Main Focus Studios will be capturing stunning shots of your pooch for a chance to enter the competition. Sessions will take place at MI Studio Space in downtown Wayland, or outdoors during the final week leading up to the contest launch on April 7th.


Supporting a Great Cause

Pooch Playoffs 2025 proudly supports Michele’s Rescue, a Grand Rapids-based rescue dedicated to helping pets find loving homes. By participating, you’re not only celebrating your furry friend but also contributing to a meaningful cause.
